Elf Elin found herself in quite the predicament \u2013 an unusual one, indeed! For some reason, she was always chilly, which was strange for an elf who usually thrived in the crisp, cold air of the North Pole. Determined to fix this frosty problem, Elin set her sights on revamping the heating system of Santa\u2019s cozy house, where she lived too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a sparkle of excitement and a touch of holiday magic, she came up with a brilliant new twist on the special heating machine that kept Santa’s house warm. But this was no ordinary machine. For starters, it ran on coal candies, and the best part? This marvelous contraption didn\u2019t consume the candies! The machine was enchanted to remain sealed until the end of the Christmas holidays, turning it into a jar brimming with sweet treats that the elves could enjoy after the holiday rush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the original version, the room\u2019s temperature was proportional to the number of candies inside the machine. But here\u2019s where Elin\u2019s clever twist came in: her new version worked so that the temperature was instead proportional to the rate at which coal candies were added. The faster the candies were tossed in, the toastier the room would become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With cheeks glowing with excitement, Elin marched straight to Santa to share her idea. Santa, sitting by the fireplace with a mug of steaming hot cocoa, listened attentively, a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile on his face.
